Jewelry Care
Jewelry Care and Disclaimer
Some metals may cause irritation for people with very sensitive skin.
Wear and tear can cause discoloration on even the finest jewelry. Learning how to maintain and care for your jewelry can help restore the original shine to your favorite pieces.
- Keep the jewelry dry
- Avoid exposure to water and chemicals
- Apply perfumes and creams prior to putting on your jewelry
- Avoid repeated heavy wear
- Do not wear silver jewelry with gold or brass to avoid discoloration
After continuous wear, brass jewelry can develop a black residue (this is oxidation). This is very easily fixed; simply soak the piece in lemon juice for no more than fifteen seconds, then rinse it with water and polish with a jewelry cloth.
Alternatively, use a polishing product such as "Brasso" or "Silvo".
